Apatite

The apatite of Greek Apatao, deceived-duped, named because of the possibilities of confusion notably with the Beryl.

It is a fluorinated or chlorinated calcium phosphate. Its hardness is low, 5 on the Moshs scale, which makes it a gem reserved for collectors, hardly usable in jewelry or earrings.

To determine the quality of a stone, the color is the most important criterion.
