1. Gemstone Selection

All our bespoke jewelry is handcrafted in our Paris workshop and reflects the excellence of French fine jewelry.

2. Design and 3D Modeling

Based on your specifications, a detailed gouache drawing is created to visualize your future bespoke jewel. This step allows refinement of proportions, balance, and technical details before production.

For more complex custom jewelry designs, a 3D model may be developed to ensure precision and perfection.

3. Wax Model and Casting

The wax model forms the structural foundation of your bespoke jewelry. It faithfully reflects the dimensions and stone placements planned for your fine jewelry piece.

After casting in 18-carat gold, the raw metal is carefully refined and perfected before moving to the stone setting stage.

4. Stone Setting

A master stone setter enhances your bespoke jewel using traditional French techniques. Depending on your desired aesthetic, the following settings may be used:

  • Bezel setting
  • Prong setting
  • Flush setting
  • Pavé setting

Each gemstone is precisely set to ensure brilliance, durability, and long-term security.

5. Finishing: Polishing and Rhodium Plating

Finishing touches define the personality of your custom fine jewelry: hammered or brushed textures, interior or exterior engraving, or personalized detailing.

Final polishing reveals the brilliance of the metal. For white gold bespoke jewelry, rhodium plating may be applied to enhance luminosity.

6. Hallmarking and Authenticity Guarantee

Our customer and his fiancée wanted a daisy ring centred on a round sapphire. Unlike a more traditional ring, they wanted to add sapphires to the pavé setting for a touch of originality, on our advice.

DRACHME SILVER YELLOW GOLD PENDANT

One of a kind pendant in the manner of the Bulgari « monete » collection. This Greek silver coin dating from 330 BC, minted under Alexander the Great, was given to my friend by one of her clients as a gift for good services. The result had to be as sober as possible and easy to wear every day. The combination of 18-carat gold and silver makes this pendant a timeless, wearable piece of jewellery.

For her birthday, a customer wanted an emerald ring. After finding the perfect stone, we decided to frame it with two radiant-cut diamonds for a classic and timeless style.

One of our customers, who bought this beautiful topaz on a trip to Brazil, wanted to have it mounted for their 50th wedding anniversary ceremony. This modern, very independent woman wanted an original, contemporary setting that was easy to wear every day, with a sunburst setting.

Custom-made ring in 18 carat yellow gold, featuring an 8.08 carat oval-cut spessartite garnet set with diamonds and orange garnets. This ring was made to complement a set of earrings and pendant.

An exceptional ring, a unique piece, with a rare 6-carat Paraiba tourmaline at its centre! After consultation with our customer, we opted for a voluptuous white gold setting paved with diamonds.

GREEN BLUE SAPPHIRE ENGAGEMENT RING

Here's an order for a highly original engagement ring. Our customers were attracted by both green and blue stones, and on our advice were tempted by a delightful blue-green ‘Peacock’ sapphire, which we set in a surround of sapphires, diamonds and tsavorite garnets!

APATITES PINK SAPPHIRES WHITE GOLD EARRINGS

Apatite, with its beautiful lagoon-blue colour, is fascinating but fragile. So we opted for a very ‘girly’ mix of pink and blue: the result is this superb pair of earrings made from Apatite and pink sapphires.

At Pierres de Julie, we love making rings with two coloured stones, and we fell in love with this pair of sapphires, one old pink and the other lime green. The result is this toi et moi ring in yellow gold set with a green and a pink sapphire, both pear-cut, and brilliant-cut diamonds.

10.76 CARATS BLUE ZIRCON DIAMONDS RING

Another stone we particularly like at Pierres de Julie: blue zircon (a natural stone with exceptional brilliance). We made this ring to measure at the request of one of our very good customers. The result lived up to our expectations: a beautiful ring in 18-carat white gold, featuring a 10.76-carat cushion-cut blue zircon, set with diamonds.

BAGUE TOI ET MOI DIAMANTS OR JAUNE

Following the discovery of diamonds that had been lying in a safe for several decades, a customer and friend asked us to mount two of them on a ring. This toi et moi ring in yellow gold set with two diamonds is a declaration of love made on the occasion of their 10th wedding anniversary (Tin Wedding Anniversary).

PLATANUS LEAF YELLOW GOLD BROOCH

In December, Les Pierres de Julie was asked to create a rather special piece of jewellery. It was to celebrate the 61st wedding anniversary of one of our customers, this year corresponding to the platane tree wedding anniversary. We came up with a brooch in 18-carat yellow gold in the shape of a platane leaf with a special engraving on the back.
